TaLord Interior DesignThe kitchen in this 1920's home was gutted and redesigned to include an island. Architectural changes I proposed were a new, larger window over the relocated sink and the relocation of the access to the basement. The L-shaped kitchen now has more storage and longer surfaces. There was just adequate room for the contrasting green island with seating on the end portion. Craftsman and Industrial elements add unique touches to the space. Simple white Shaker cabinetry allow the drama of the black quartz top, black appliances and forest green subway tile to take center-stage! Luckily, the original wood floors were patched and usable. New light fixtures and floor cloth add to the period details that make this kitchen a winner!

Wood Wise Design & RemodelingThe homeowners, who were expecting their first child, were interested in expanding their current 2 bedroom/2 bathroom house for their growing family. They also wanted to retain the character of their 1940 era inside-the-beltline home. Wood Wise designer Kathy Walker worked with the clients on several design options to meet their list of requirements. The final plan includes adding 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a new dining room, and sunroom. The existing kitchen and dining rooms were remodeled to create a new central kitchen with a large walk-in pantry with sink. The custom aqua color of the kitchen cabinets recalls period turquoise kitchens. The exterior of the home was updated with paint and a new standing-seam metal roof to complete the remodel.
Wood Wise provided all design. Kathy Walker designed the cabinet plan and assisted homeowners with all showroom selections.

Robin Davis InteriorsWe couldn't change out the cabinets or black granite at this time so we upgraded the hardware to matte black and added an awesome backsplash where there once was none. The trapezoidal design of the handmade tiles created an opportunity to play with varying colors that could be found throughout the home's art and furnishings. We laid it out piece by piece in order to achieve the one of a kind and organic feel to its design.

It steered each selection of the kitchen from the black chevron backlash to the gold bamboo-look pendants. The appliances coordinate with the black and gold finishes as well, the JennAir range’s is dressed in brass bezel accents and the stainless-steel apron-front sink is brushed with a brass decorative front.
Curtis Lumber Ballston SpaThis stunning Transitional Kitchen designed by Curtis Lumber Co. was inspired by the homeowners love for some of the decorate items she has collected over the years. She wanted to open-up her kitchen space to the rest of her home, improve storage and add convenience. This was accomplished by removing a wall and soffits. A pantry, wine rack and storage area were added to the dinning space. The perimeter cabinetry is Wellborn Premier, Saybrook door style in Cherry Wood with Oyster White Finish. The island cabinetry is also Wellborn Premier, Hanover door style in Cherry Wood with Sienna Finish. Cabinet features from Wellborn that add function include an in-drawer knife block, base cabinet storage rack, pegged deep drawer dish organizer, open display cabinet with wicker baskets for produce, waste basket/recyclables pull out, 3 drawer corner pullout, utensil pullout, spice pullout and a lift-up appliance garage. The Hardware is by Emtek. The countertops are granite, and the farmhouse sink is by Whitehaven Farm.
