Hull Historical
My clients had always been inspired by the grand Tudor Revival homes of the early 20th century and commissioned Hull Historical to recreate the authentic custom millwork, paneling and doors for their new Tudor Revival home. Our inspiration came from 2 great English homes, Stan Hywett, a great Tudor Revival home in Ohio, built for the founder of Goodyear Tires. Also, the Woodbine Mansion, built in 1911 for the son of the Pabst Brewing Company. We were fortunate to purchase three rooms of architectural millwork from the woodbine home, which was originally fabricated by the Huber Company of New York. Upon completion of this project, the architectural salvage comprised 15% of the final quantity of paneling installed. The remainder was custom fabricated by Hull Historical at our shop in Fort Worth, TX and installed at the clients home.
The commission, based on historic precedent, constituted antique paneling on the main floor, beamed ceilings and all the doors in the home. The new paneling, including the kitchen cabinetry is made from a combination of new quarter-sawn white oak and antique white oak salvaged from old barns and buildings. All the oak was fumed in an ammonia-filled chamber to produce a cocoa color and deep feel giving the millwork rough character and a timeless look that my client loved.
The millwork also served to give the home a hierarchy, with simple paneling combined with board and batten doors downstairs, then more ornate paneling, with carvings on the main floor. Additionally, the main floor features mostly 8 and 10 panel doors. All woodwork was hand-pegged with oak pegs. Some of the paneling features a unique Mason’s Miter, a historic joinery technique inspired from stone work.

We were lucky enough to work with our client on the renovation of their whole house in South West London, they came to us for a 'turn-key' Interior Design service, the project took over two years to complete and included a basement dig out. This was a family home so not only did it need to look beautiful, it also needed to be practical for the two children. We took full advantage of the clients love of colour, giving each space it's own individual feel whilst maintaining a cohesive scheme throughout the property.

My brief was to design an office space that was multifunctional. It needed plenty of storage for their fabulous collection of books and to include a media area where the room could be utilised by all the family when not in use as an office. The new home office design that I created with new layout enabled me to add additional seating to allow them to watch a movie in the evening or play games on the media unit.
It also incorporates fabulous built in units painted in colourtrends Larkspur. The unit includes a built-in window seat and wrap around corner library bookcases and a custom radiator cover. It contains lots of storage too for board games and media games.
The Window seat includes a custom-made seat cushion, stunning blind and scatter cushions
I felt the room was very dark so I chose a colour palette that would brighten the room. I layered it with lots of textured wallpaper from Romo and villa Nova and opulent velvet and printed linen fabrics to create a sophisticated yet funky space for the homeowners. The rust orange fabrics provide a strong contrast against the pale blue and navy colours. Greenery and accessories were added to the shelves for a stylish finish. My clients Aine and Kieran were delighted with the space.

Designed for use on both walls and ceilings, these 48'' x 96'' panels can be quickly and easily installed by any weekend warrior. They are MR 50-certified and resistant to mould and moisture. That means that they can be used in bathrooms, basements or other humid areas. Note, however, that these panels should not be used on surfaces that will be directly exposed to water, such as a shower wall or a kitchen backsplash. Kimberlee Marie Interiors
This early 90's contemporary home was in need of some major updates and when my clients purchased it they were ready to make it their own. The home features large open rooms, great natural light and stunning views of Lake Washington. These clients love bold vibrant colors and clean modern lines so the goal was to incorporate those in the design without it overwhelming the space. Balance was key. The end goal was for the home to feel open and airy yet warm and inviting. This was achieved by bringing in punches of color to an otherwise white or neutral palate. Texture and visual interest were achieved throughout the house through the use of wallpaper, fabrics, and a few one of a kind artworks.
