“David Reiser, of RVC, has a fantastic respect for historic properties, and a thorough knowledge of how to renovate and restore them without compromising integrity. This project involved upgrading windows on the museum, which is in a historic building. The windows were not only deteriorating, but the large expanse of single-pane glass meant high utility costs for the museum, and temperature fluctuations that are hard on the artifacts. Rather than replace with facsimiles, David was able to locate a few window components that had been stashed in the building, and instead designed a combination of repair and renovation that preserved the original windows and helped protect the artifacts.”
