“‘Culvert House’ Trentham, Victoria, Australia Sustainability is most definitely one of our core values. We highly valued where we were living, at Westwyck, an acclaimed ‘eco development’ in Melbourne’s inner north. However, deciding on a ‘tree change’, we bought land in Trentham in the Central Highlands of Victoria. Needing a designer with similar values for our new home, we began and ended our search at ‘Maxa Design’. At our first meeting it was immediately apparent that Sven Maxa and Niall o Healaithe, the latter the designer assigned to our project, were kindred spirits. Immensely personable, relaxed, yet clearly attentive and receptive to our ideas, we left that first meeting knowing we need look no further. We presented them with the following ‘vision’.
