“I originally approached Sally for advice on optimising the functionality of the outdoor space so that it became an extra room. The interior of my home is small and therefore I really needed another area to entertain. The workmanship on the decking is immaculate! I would't have thought to use the picture frame boarder but I admire it every time I am in the space. The next stage will be to plant out the garden beds, which Sally is also helping to arrange when I am ready. I have also always wanted plantations shutters, but thought they were out of my budget. Sally was able to use her industry contacts to obtain a price that was considerably less than the direct quote I received! I am so happy with the affordability, professionalism and genuine care that Substance Within Design and Sally herself have delivered. I would not hesitate to recommend working with Sally on your next project!”

“After a consultation, Natasha presented fabrics, wallpaper, paint, door solutions and general suggestions that were aligned with my preferences as well as the existing house design. Her solutions to my tricky window requirements were perfect and her suggestion on wallpapering resulted in my formal living areas transitioning form good to "wow". She was the project manager and chose trades people with impeccable work ethic and skill. Talk to Natasha if you want to get everything done that you have put off for a long time because you need inspiration and someone who can keep the project on track.”

“Denise, from DSDezines worked with my ideas about what I wanted for my spaces,and provided advice and ideas based on these, while also adding to them. She spent a great deal of time consulting me to understand not only what we liked, but also how we lived in the house so the pieces chosen were not only beautiful, but functional. Another thing I valued was that Denise kept the whole of the interior of my house in mind when planning how to furnish and decorate a room. This meant it was possible to focus on one room, or space at a time, while having an overall plan for the look I was trying to create for the whole house. I love my study, where I work most days. Denise can also access a good range of suppliers, with many options to choose from. She goes above and beyond trying to source just the write piece of furniture, or decoration. Overall, I found Denise and the service she offered helped to make the process of turning out new house into our lovely home exciting and enjoyable. I continue to use her service on an ongoing basis when I'm ready to tackle the nest project in the house. Thanks Denise.”

“Tricia came into our project at a stage when we were struggling with all the choices we had to make. From selecting skirting boards, architraves and paint colours right through to designing the kitchen, laundry and bathrooms, Tricia was amazing. Tricia was willing to incorporate the features that we wanted into each space. With the building completed Tricia helped us with the finishing decorative touches that made our home not only functional but beautiful as well. “I employed Shmik Interiors to furnish my beachside apartment in Melbourne. My two-bedroom apartment has great waterfront views but very tight, small rooms. Lisa came up with a furniture plan that utilised the space efficiently and turned my challenging space limitations into an apartment with a ‘beach resort’ style. I was thrilled with the results and was able to immediately let the apartment out after it had been languishing on the rental market. Lisa was easy to communicate with, very resourceful and delivered everything in a timely manner. I would happily recommend her services.”

“I cannot recommend Jacque enough. Jacque's style, creativity and flair for interior design is amazing and very very exciting. She had a willingness to work with pieces I already had and I definitely wanted to keep and was able to add value with some exciting ideas. I love how Jacque can open up your creative mind in a comfortable and respectful way. It was also very comforting that she was able to work within my budget - gave me peace of mind. “Tenille consulted with us in planning our ensuite bathroom renovation. The new layout she designed is a winner, and something we just hadn't thought of! Moving the vanity unit and toilet onto a different wall really opens the room up, making it feel roomier and more elegant. “Sophie provided an excellent interior design service resulting in the furnishing of all the windows in our new home and a secondary rental property. Sophie's accuracy in finding the exact items briefed is too her credit and shows her experience. Sophie also provides outstanding follow up service and to this day still sends thru new ideas to furnish our home I would highly recommend Interior Decorating by Sophie.”
