How wide is your entrance way? Mine is 122cm and I have a 40 cm wide console table that works. An indoor plant or some sculpture each side of the table reduces the starkness of it too. Otherwise some floating shelves is good to decorate - just be warned, people (especially husbands) do have a habit of throwing keys, mail, newspapers, etc. in this area. I would not consider the darker wall, while it looks great and makes a fabulous impact statement, your bright and cheerful entry is far more liveable on a daily basis. Art to me is the best answer, search 'arranging wall art' on Houzz and you will get hundreds of ideas. You can use paintings or photos, just choose your theme and colour choice. Black and white can look stunning too and as you will see from Houzz photos an eclectic mix works as well. Consider combining the concept of console with shoe storage. While this style of cabinet is a bit taller than the average console or buffet it is still low enough for a mirror over the top. The advantage is it's a stylish piece of furniture that has shelves for shoes, hidden behind doors. Although the entry/hall is long it is already full of doors so try not to fill it up with furniture. A single cool looking piece of furniture on either walls #1 or #3 with some fabulous artwork on wall #5 and whichever of #1 and #3 doesn't have the cabinet on.

I loved the idea of a statement pendant Cooper design, and the glass console, I get a bit confused with my style(lol) and I have to keep in mind the continuity as you have mentioned, so I don't have a mish mash of different things. Big reader I have had the console in the lounge there when I first bought it, it looked good but I needed it in my lounge.. I'll put a photo of the clock I think it's a bit old fashioned. Nik star the end wall looks really good and your right it draws the eye, there is certainly food for thought in all of your suggestions.

The hall table is easy on where to put it . Under the stairs . So you ( or family members ) can leave dirty or even security items , out of sight . Did you consider doing something in the hall -- an abstract painting or 2 ? It's a relatively new concept called colour , but some more courageous people are finding it looks slightly different to white , or white , or white , or even black . Haha . The one thing that shows some thought -- the ( almost certainly imitation ) wooden floor panels -- you know you need something when the most positive thing said is about the floor ! A painting on that large white wall can be bought probably as cheaply as painting or wallpapering that whole wall ( especially with the 'challenge' of having to continue upstairs , or making some kind of differentation -- basically two-toning the wall ) . You may even make money on a painting ( you probably won't ) ; you look a bit cultured ( although it hasn't worked for me , and I must have 50 ! ) ; and real easy to change if you get bored or even change your lounge suite , kitchen appliances , a rug or whatever is in surrounding rooms .
