Bathroom towels rails.
Comments (2)Hi Kathryn, know exactly what you mean and had same the problem a few months ago, didn't have the extra wall either, and after weeks of searching couldn't find anything that would suit, really hard to find what you're describing and nothing worse than towels that don't dry particularly in winter not to mention the damp smell :/ so in the end we went with two single rails on the same wall, maybe something you could consider if you can't find what you're looking for...See MoreBathroom heating: underfloor or towel rail?
Comments (4)I'm in Canberra and we've recently installed underfloor heating in our bathroom. We only caught the tail end of this winter, but the underfloor heating dries the towels out fine, so don't miss not having heated towel rails. We haven't installed any additional heating, but I'm not expecting to need it. Probably need to have it a full winter to pass final judgement on that though....See MoreReally need help with combining tile colours in bathroom and how?
Comments (8)I am just wondering whether it is a good thing or not to go with solid colours like the dark blue (prussian blue), grey floors and white on other walls all in tiles. I see that a lot of designers seem to do a pattern on one wall, but I haven't found one suitable and whatever I do, I just don't want it to look out of date in 5 years time. I am not sure how about much of the prussian blue tile is appropriate in order for it to be noticeable but not too overpowering....See MoreHow to fix new bathrooms with horrible colour schemes
Comments (19)Hi Susan, do you have any photos of the bathrooms you could upload? Years ago we renovated our bathroom in our 1970's brick house by having the wall tiles resurfaced and the result was really good - the original wall tiles were a light apricot colour and the floor tiles were mosaics in khaki (a terrible combination) but we couldnt afford to retile so we kept the khaki coloured mosaics on the floor (even though we didnt like them) and just resurfaced the wall tiles in a an off-white colour. The end look was actually better than we expected and we ended up liking the floor tiles So if you have to do a major colour change I would suggest just resurfacing the wall tiles and keeping the floors as is. But even less cost would be to add some interesting and colourful accessories to off-set the offending tile colours. For example blue/green tones like aqua, teal, duck egg and eau de nil actually work really well with orange/peach so adding some towels and accessories in this colour could really transform bathroom number 3. And dont underestimate large plants - plants look great in bathrooms and adding some really large ones will break up the tiled areas...See MoreJeannie
