Hi I really like the grey. It is on-trend, neutral and would allow the painting to 'pop.' Perhaps if the baskets were white the whole picture would hold together better. All of the photoshopped colours you have chosen are cool/blue toned and the baskets are warm/yellow toned. I think that is what is confusing you. Also the vase seems too tall for that setting. Try a green plant in a shallow, flat white pot. Enjoy.

I think you have several options here. 1. Have a small round table and chairs that are light in frame - as you may end up lifting them around and also to lift the area visually- the ones you have chosen could look heavy and block light. I would also avoid fabric chairs while you have little ones. 2. In the shorter term until you use your other more formal space utilise a high chair and the breakfast bar. 3. Find an easily washable throw and place it over the couch and place a rectangular table that backs onto the sofa with the chairs one on each end and two on the side - this would ensure you retain the flow to the outside of the house.

Just love that rabbit perhaps his hutch would be good to the left on the top terrace The sandstone rock and stairs to the left of your house could be worked on to look really special again, a Zen like The fern that was moved off the rocks is likened to a weed and best removed, I quite like the rock as a feature. As for any pavers any of the square or rectangle concrete ones would look great and are cheaper than most, please don't paint them you can get them from Bunnings. We also play Bocci on our grass that over looks water. great fun.

For me, it would be colour. Maybe a feature wall for walls around dining, or living, pick colour from your favoured painting, and use same and other colours from pictures for cushions or even some occasional furniture in the brightest colour - I saw this done beautifully in a tarted up house for display - a small seat/coffee table painted and upholstered in an orange mix, which was taken from the splashback (everything else was neutral) and also in a throw for lounge.
