Beautiful table, re upholstering the chairs and updating the area where they are would be a good start, add some colour to,the room and a floor rug. when I saw the first picture I thought paint it but not so sure once I saw the lovely carved legs I became stuck on the decision. I painted my traditional dining table and changed the area it was in but mine was nothing special, a reproduction made of rubber-wood, beautifully made table but no vintage piece of furniture .. I did a story on it in Houzz called painting a table if you wanted to have a look. Another option could be to paint the chairs as well reupholstering them but leave the table as is. Your room looks fine. There is no such thing as a whole room in any specific style in the real world. All our rooms are just a mixture of a bunch of things that we like and find comfortable. If anything, all it needs is some colour and brightness. This can be achieved with cushions (make them tactile as well so that people use them and don't just throw them on the floor) in a few brighter colours and perhaps some sheer curtains and a brighter floor rug (this bit can be a bit more expensive). Other than that this is a lovely family living room. It is quite reasonable that you and your husband only like art that you actually 'like' rather than just pretty pictures on your wall for the sake of interior design. But, if you happen to find anything else you both like then add it to your home as you go.

You have worked very well around the client's existing furniture. Perhaps post a link if it is holiday accommodation and really impress your client.

The front of your home looks like homes in Las Vegas, Nevada. Are you more interested in a bathroom along these aesthetics? In Australia the bathroom you have shown would be a very common look. If you are staying in the home for a length of time, and your budget meets your wishes. Then change it to whatever you would feel more comfortable with.
