Wow - could you have this in your house?
Comments (10)Personal taste aside, I think it's put together well. I like the sofa aNd elongated space, I also like the coffee table, but not keen on e browness of that rug. It does add texture, but it feels as though it needs a lift, which is odd in a room with vertical space?? The floor looks great but hidden. I'd lighten that rug to suit that, layering is fine, but something sympathetic to the floor might help reflect light from ground up, the the timbers and sofa would warm the area by contrast....See MoreColour Schemes and Clients favourite colour of Orange

Comments (31)Definitely paint. And an extra tip: We moved into a house with so many boldly coloured walls (turquoise, salmon, yellow, dark blue...!) and ended up finding the Haymes paint was amazing at covering all the colours. In the bathroom we used 2 other brands (Duluxand Taubmans) and they needed manymore coats, I'll only use Haymes now I've tried it. Only needed 2 coats over all the colours, it's not at Bunnings but worth seeking out. We got ours from Paint Spot and the staff were so helpful....See MoreHelp to improve our orange brick facade / overall curb appeal
Comments (11)Thank you oklouise The house started out as a small single storey fibro house (left section). By the time we bought it, it had a 2 storey extension 6.2m w x 12.1m d added to the right side and the whole house was bricked over - leaving a strange stairwell on the side of the new extension (which we faux brick stamped 15+ years ago as it was bright white). There is a small step down to the front verandah but still good head height. The current garage doors are also quite high at 2.5m and would not need to be as high when replaced. So hoping the bulk head (if that is all we come up with) would be consistent / level across the front. That was just my first thought, but fresh eyes and fresh/other ideas are welcome!...See Moresandradclark
