hi we have about six months ago now, re done our bath room , similar size to yours, and , i can take some photos and email them to you , we have maximised space, and walls , put in a white stone bath under the window , it is a metre in width , with a cool water spout coming off the centre under the window we pu t afalse ledge in to sit , candles etc on , , we tiles floor to ceiling, off white , wall mirror cabnit with three mirrors , inset into the wall so its only sits out a we bit from the wall tiles , floating bath room vanity , so that it makes the floor space look bigger , . matching stone square basin sits ontop of the vanity to one side so plenty of room to sit all your bath room stuff when need be , seperate shower all tiled as well , with inset , shelves for shampoo etc, also , when you open the bath room door and walk in when you close the bath room door behind it next to the shower is a very narrow floor to ceiling shelvec for towels, now the hole is there we jaust havent got the shelves put in yet. , we gt loads of comments as the bth room dosent look small evn though it is , , most expensive item the sqwat extra wide stone bath , made to order basin / tap ware and shower spray thing ,oh and the white stone vanity which we had made to order as well , due to the sizing .

And it's done! I did not run to ikea to get a shorter vanity, I used what I had and here's the result, ta daaa! It still need some tweaks (tiles, pull too low, push back washing machine etc) and lots of cleaning (are bathroom renovation messy or what) but I'm content with it, it's an 100% improvement! And the plumber didn't think it was too long, nor too high.. Now onto some decoration, I do fancy some pops of coral in there, what do you think? Oh , and should I have a kick-board to hide the feet? Ps: Sorry about the bad photos, my phone doesn't want to focus anymore.

The better half had come up with the design and as I am standing in there now with it all ripped out, I thought about leaving as is like you mentioned. inspection panel is for plumbing as that is mine pipe for unit above. Will just treat that as is now and be villaboard template without tilea over the top so sits relatively flush and tidy Width of shower recess would be about 800. Is the same width even if kept it as is now. No real gain. WM waste requires us to cement core floor and install. another reason why I’m on your page with leaving it.

The gap is definitely driving me crazy, we’ve only moved in since March so been lots of pondering, including changing it all, but unfortunately the next room over is our third bedroom. But you have given me an idea there is a cupboard in the front of this bathroom and could knock down the wall so maybe the bathtub could actually get a bigger spot after all and get rid of the front cupboard / wall and then change where the door is.
