We have recently purchased a house built in 1959 that is a traditional 'Queenslander' area. The previous owners have obviously tried to morph the house into that with the small deck/staircase at front but got confused by installing a giant aluminium frame window on the other side. That window is broken and needs replacing and the most cost effective way seems to be trying to match it to the 'queenslanderish' side. The left hand side of house as it currently is has 'wings' and no weatherboards - currently some kind fine corrugated panel. We are planning to paint in a medium grey and white trims. We'd appreciate suggestions how to make the two sides of the house match each other, replace the window on a very very tight budget. Many thanks
