What to do with heaps of mondo grass?
Comments (3)Give and ye shall receive. That looks like the monkey grass we have in the States and if it grows as abundantly there as it does here, not sure whether you would have buyers. Maybe talk to your local parks department to see if there is a need anywhere in the community for it. As quickly as that multiplies, I think you'll have plenty to go around....See MoreSWAP
Comments (266)no, say it ain't so! As an older work friend once told me - she was maybe 55 at the time, lol. I don't do waist lines anymore! My husband says he is an all american mutt, as am i. he would never use a kit. i really don't want him too, they might discover that touch of cro magnon in him. the touching eyebrows, the too big jaw. the head that fits in no hats. the organs that every doctor says are the largest they ever saw! How you doing on water weight? that is what comes off the best? cut back on salt. no gassy foods - take gas x. now mind you the gas does not magically disappear, it does come out-you will now have burps worthy of a 12 yo boy with a rootbeer. what it does stop is bloating. Miralax uses water in the body to help the body get rid of excess waste. that is a thought, killing 2 birds with one stone. If someone had asked me 5 years ago if i would have this wealth of knowledge on this subject, I might have slapped them, thinking they had lapsed into insanity! oh, and about the thread, ttt is sure she posted it? re-mark-a ble!...See MoreComment to WIN: When have you gotten yourself in a pickle at home?
Comments (34)Long ago when I was in high school, we had a sports lesson doing hurdles. I loved it and secretly thought I was great at it. At the end of the lesson, we were sauntering back to class and I decided to show my friends once again how good I was. Now, hurdles must be approached from only one side. If you don't make it over, (from the right side)it smacks down. The other side doesn't move when hit. Well, I approached from the wrong side and had a little too much saunter and not enough pace, so didn't make it over. I hit it hard and the hurdle didn't budge. I was draped over the top in a horribly awkward position. Finger tips just off the ground on one side, toes just off the other side, bottom in the air, school uniform around my ears! Everyone gathered around laughing their heads off. Finally, after much laughter I was lifted off by my school mates. Lesson learnt, don't show off!...See MoreWhat are you prioritising in the garden this autumn?
Comments (31)Thank you ,Anne. Our average rainfall over 12 months is 6 - 700 mls. Usually we get it in Autumn and Spring. The last 12 months we have had 400 mls, and a lot of that has fallen as showers, so it doesn't soak into the soil. It is simply heartbreaking. And it makes me grind my teeth when the Sydney newspeople talk about lovely sunny weather! Even if it rains now, it is too cold for much to grow. This area is prime agricultural land - and our local member, Mr Joyce, blathers on about supporting the coal industry....See Moremarjie1059
