I see what you mean, 2100x2100 is not huge, but its certainly workable, is this a reno and are you working within an existing structure and if so existing plumbing as well?... I still think you can have a better layout to make better use of the space, looks like you're trying to cram everything in one corner of the room with an entire wall (to the left) dedicated to towel rails?... I see you've noted bedroom and hallway at the bottom, does that mean the bedroom is only linked to part of the ensuite and if so how much of the ensuite actually connects? presumably where you'll have the cavity sliding door... my suggestion to find a way to enclose the shower a little is not only to limit water splash but also to create some privacy from the toilet in the event that both are being used at the same time, could be a bit awkward? I was thinking maybe a nib wall with glass panel on top... I would actually also consider doing a nib wall where the vanity is and have the floating vanity from the left wall to the nib wall as that little gap you've got at the moment between the vanity and the shower screen would be difficult/annoying to clean... incidentally, the 540 depth of the wall hung toilet, does that include the cistern or will that be hidden behind the ensuite wall?

Depending on your lifestyle, both the draws and mirror cabinets I find are most practical use of storage for the bathroom, plus the best way to keep the bathroom looking clean and clutter free. We do find that when we are decluttering and organising bathrooms, the draws can become messy really quickly, unless you have used good quality insets or draw dividers. The mirror cabinet can usually be the best, as everything is at eye level and standing up for quick access, however again you need to make sure that you have some decent quality cabinets, with a little depth so you can introduce some secondary storage solutions for the those items that cannot stand up. All in all, its best to really asses the situation with your lifestyle habits etc. There is no one right answer to this, its all based around the individual. :)

thanks for your very kind words but i'm not a professional just someone like you who's already built and renovated many times and likes to share the ideas and information collected from that experience ...i'm pleased to offer an opinion about your question but i'm afraid i couldn't understand your original plan and, now that i know that the room is actually 3200 x 3800 the original layout won't fit within the space and the best i can suggest is a shower over a bath and, although the laundry is long enough it's not wide enough for any extra shelves along the opposite wall...but there will be many alternative options, do you have a copy of the real estate agent's plan? (doesn't matter if it's not accurate) we need to understand how the new bathroom fits into the rest of the house, what space is available, position of windows, doors, hallways, other rooms etc ..btw we've almost finished a complete renovation of a 1950s house and i would be very surprised if there's no asbestos left in your house so careful planning is essential but you've discovered the most important aspect is the good block in a good area, everything else is just planning, hard work and money...look forward to more information

try to include space for a chair and/or some coat hooks and hangers on the back of hinged doors and a small bin can fit inside or under a wall hung vanity ...our bathrooms include a chair, waste basket, small free standing shelves and a towel rack in timber and rattan and i think complement all the chrome and tiles
