Comments (3)I think lots of patterns and prints.... in the artworks, the soft furnishings... some quirky artworks and vintage pieces. You have some great classic shapes and bold dark colours so they would really frame some bold quirky artwork well. Kind of like a vibrant quilt.... the clashes will work. Some bold retro posters or comic book style art could look awesome too! With an interesting lamp! I don't know where I saw it but I once saw a cool floor lamp like a skyscraper.... Now this may not be your style at all, but I guess what I mean is that with such classic shapes and colours in a small area you can have more unusual vibrant choices and have them look quite classy. I think if you were too neutral it would just all look rather dull. I would at the very least go for a more manly style than girly. ps: The first image is actually a rug!...See MoreDecor HELP!!!
Comments (12)Thanks for your comments everyone :) The sofa is from Freedom, chubbychicky, and you can just chop and change the layout of it as you see fit. The room is like 4m long and trying to get a sofa made to fit was almost impossible without going bankrupt, until we found this at Freedom :) To be honest, I like the current cushions individually, but not together. I am happy to move them elsewhere in the house so I don't necessarily want them to determine the rest of the décor in this room. This is the only bit of furniture in this room for now. I like the theme of warmth and coziness (love lots of cushions), but I don't want any colours that are too loud as this is the first room as you enter the house. Also, regarding the picture, my husband loves it so I think it may have to stay, BUT do you think I could add things alongside to make that wall look less empty? Do you think artwork or photos (also in black and white) or objects/ornaments (like http://www.freedom.com.au/homewares/decorator-accents/wall-art/23658707/impala-resin-wall-piece-66cm-natural/) ? I really appreciate all of your comments :)...See MoreDecorating help

Comments (3)I would centre the artwork to the wall, therefore Airconditioning unit. The lounges can be changed in years to come, but the aircon unit will always be there....See Morefernandes_valerie
