challenging! i think a separate toilet and vanity area and bath/laundry works better and allows for multiple person occupancy but, measurements are critical so, a toilet shortest front to back leaves more leg room and an extra big drop in handbasin would look best in the bathroom instead of a laundry tub and what about an old fashioned shower curtain instead of a glass screen if you like the big bathtub with shower instead of a walk in super wide shower with glass screen. The scale of the laundry/bath wall cabinets will fit best (and have more storage for linen, laundry supplies and shampoo etc) if you use a 30cm deep kitchen wall cabinet (with mirror doors) instead of the usuall medicine cabinet depth The tall skinny cabinet in the vanity area should just fit an ironing board and skinny vacuum cleaner with linen under the small drop in (makes the bench more spacious) handbasin ...The doorway into the vanity area has no door, although an in-wall slider would be OK coming from the toilet side, a swinging door would just be in the way...the two windows in the bathroom are placed to maximise ventilation and should be no more than 75cm wide and 120cm tall (frosted glass?) Careful choice of fittings should have everything fitting in OK, good luck with it

It all depends on how much money you would like to spend. As your lounge is dark and your stools and bookcase are also dark I think white chairs would be fine, but then I would change the stools as well and take some white down to the lounge area. However you can buy stretchy covers for this style of chair for around $10 and there is quite a variety, so I would look on line for those to see if you like any of them as that would be a very easy fix.

Wow, that's a very tricky layout! I love OKlouise's change to the laundry and kitchen! I can see why the TV won't work though. I don't think there's any perfect solution here. What about some open shelving, housing the TV, coming out adjacent to the garage door - this will block an unsightly door way and create a bit more of a nook for the living room. As a slight adaptation of OkL's plan could you put the TV on an angle behind the front door and move the furniture around to suit, perhaps? And another idea - getting the TV off the floor and onto the wall would help enhance the feeling of space - you could keep existing furniture arrangement and invest in a bracket that swivels the TV out from the 'garage door' wall, it'll be closer for viewing, then you can push it back flat against the wall when not in use. What you have created is a beautiful clean open space. But that is only the foundation. Now what is needed is you. You need to inject your personality and your family’s into the space. For nowhere do I see anything that tells me who lives there. And this is something you can add to as you live and use the space - in effect turning a gorgeous room into a home. Perhaps a vase of flowers on table or photos on sideboard or yes perhaps eventually changing mirror to a piece of art that grabs you. The trick is to not rush this stage. Live with the room and gradually add items you love to personalise it as yours. You have created a beautiful backdrop now it just needs you.
