Either white roller block out blind or if English country theme then white long drop sheers. Curtains can be block out backed. I'd go eggshell blue to match blue background wallpaper and white to match flowers so then beautiful coloured flowers on wallpaper can be highlighted esp if you can get a throw pillow or lampshade to match the glorious pinks and gold

you could also use a rug to contrast as well if the two are too similar.. depends on the room if it's a tiny one you'd want a lighter colour.. I've just googled blue and grey palette to get these ..you can do the same and it will give you idea which shade to go for... a lighter blue or charcoal

Thanks for all the feedback. We have borrowed the chair from the shop. Any further thoughts? That brown chair will go and I am proposing 2 orange chairs with orange and grey cushions on both couch and chairs. And while you are at it we are changing front door - do you think white slatted look or natural wood. Natural wood would be my preference but behind the curtains we have put in modern French doors and taken out cottage pain and everything is painted white.
