Also why have the furniture set back in one corner? Why not set the furniture up to be able to sit relax and gaze out the window at the garden. If that is how it is set up already please forgive me for my error. It is not easy to discern from the 2 photos.

If you place a couple of pot plants along the window & a low timber bench or that decorative box from the lounge room & create a connection with the garden through greenery inside.

"along the window" was my initial thought too for a long verandah. Try something vertical to the window that will provide an eyeline to the garden outside eg low coffee table and low sofas either side, maybe with a carpet at a right angle to the windows as well? If you want something green inside, I'd be looking at long low planters with a rotating assortment of plants eg orchids (phalenopsis) or Clivea in flower, even just in leaf. While the photo suggests it is a low light area, that may just be the camera trying to deal with the contrast - but rotating plants will address that. Or you can try decorative ceramics on the planters, turned upside down to make low bench/shelves.

I have to agree with patriciafernandezdeviana - curtains and a rug and move the furniture away from the wall.

Perhaps also infront of curtains at each end put 3 plants mediumheight down to 2 smaller low pots to add texture and layers or interest with different heights.
