Hi, I think your trims and fascia would look great in Dulux ‘Raku’, will look great with your bricks and will make your future landscaping really stand out, we used ‘stepney’ with ‘raku’ trims and it is fab, the plants look great against those colours

Hi Nicki, we’re in Brissie. We had our roof done in monument & ext in Haymen’s white. I know at the time the painters we’re saying that the the finishes have a lot of heat blocking technology in it now. We were going light but went dark cause of bats, and a lot of reflective light (on a corner, inland etc).

We need to give our house a little face lift for selling. Anyone have advice on what colour to paint the old, crumbly timber shingles please?

Dark colours don't stand out - they 'recede'...light colours stand out more. I'd def go dark. I've seen houses with light colour render and they've obviously tried to match with garage door but because of different textures etc, the light throws the 2 colours differently at it looks so wrong - the garge door ends up looking cream or yellow or grey compared to the render. IMO it's better to have a proper contrast where that can't happen!
