Try a mid-century modern rug like Hemphill's Rex Ray Area Rug Collection or Jaipur Traverse Caracas. I looked up 'mid-century modern rug' and chanced upon these on Houzz. I like the muted colours which would soften the cream on brown. The mid-century motifs would highlight the mid-century chair. Good luck!

Lindy, Why dont you do a computer image of the outside of your home like you can do with digital decorator and play with some schemes. You would instantly know if you like it or not!! Otherwise as Luke suggested, you need to decide if you want to contrast or blend?? I would certainly start off with a blend, as changing it to a deeper colour later would be far easier than trying to go back to a lighter colour if you decide you don't like it. Deep Ocean can look stunning with Jarrah but now that you have Monument I think you really need to stick to Windspray if your window frames are that colour otherwise I feel you will be introducing too many colours and you will spoil the elegant look of the home. There are many pink granites that look very similar. Below is a website which has good pictures and information on granites by colour range. I've already seen some that look very close to the one on your photo. Desert rose (Australia) and Belmont rose are similar, so are a few others from China. If there is sufficient natural light in the kitchen and you would really like natural granite, then a bold contrast using blue pearl or black galaxy could work (as kimmh72 suggested). While blue pearl would compliment the colour scheme of your (adjoining?) living room, black galaxy has interesting gold specks. It is of course more expensive, but the highly reflective surface may offset the darker colour. Stone mason can loan you larger pieces of samples that you can take home and see how they'll look in your kitchen. An advice from another Houzz member regarding engineered stone, is to be careful with spills on benchtop, it can be stained if not wipe off quickly. I should imagine it more critical for lighter colours. Take your time and talk to cabinet makers & stone masons. They'll most likely know just the perfect benchtop for your kitchen.
