Almost our first task when we moved into our California Bungalow 20 years ago was installing three solar tubes in our long central hallway. Over time they no longer feel as bright and my husband believes the reflective tubes have probably perished. Has anyone else experienced this? We live in a regional town where quotes by specialist companies aren't an option. I have been given general advise that I would need to replace every component. I am hoping replacing just the tubes, rather than complete new skylights should be possible. There is excellent access in the large roof cavity.
