What's your take on the new Pantone Colours of 2016?
Pantone has made its annual announcement of its two colour trends for 2016. And to add to the usual controversy, they've chosen not one but two shades. Shock!
Pastels have been showing up in our Stories for some time, from interiors to exteriors and even artworks.
Houzzers didn't much love last year's colour, Marsala.
So, what do you think of Rose Quartz and Serenity? (Our PM sure seems to love them!)

Comments (4)Because there is a lot of timber and dark paint in the room ( which i like) and because it creates a neutral background you could easily takes some risks. The problem with fitted plain and very light fabrics is the risk of stains showing etc. so I would choose a mix and match red ( not a blue red) in leather if you have the money or a blue could be good to match the painted area. Another idea is to have fabric covers in natural fibres like washed linen that can be removed and washed easily. Look at beach house styles for inspiration. This is the old kitchen in the even older house we have started to renovateStrip everything out, wash nicotine from walls & ceiling and paint (colour undecided), replace cupboards with lime washed or antique white timber, stainless steel bench top that incorporates gas rings and sink on left side (no wall cupboards on that side), Dresser style cupboards on right hand side, maybe an island bench, knock window into french doors to bring in more light, Marmoleum on the floor (probably red).....once the builder has opened up the room by knocking out the walls framing the picture!...See MoreWhat's your proudest home improvement?
