Stone bench tops dilemma
Comments (6)Dilemma #2 Here's an elevation of the powder room which has a 120mm drop down in the stone then a 180mm laminate panel... The idea is for it to look a bit (although not exactly) like this... Our floor tiles are similar (if not the same) as the above photo and go up the wall to below the vanity, the 180mm panel (which photo doesn't have - incidentally, what do you think of the shelf underneath the vanity?) is a black laminate and the feature tile between the vanity and the mirror (incidentally, should we take the mirror to the ceiling?) is Jewels Preto: So which colour should we go for the stone top, Lagoon or Blanco Zeus??... I'm swaying towards Lagoon as it's a bit more of a feature than just plain white, but I'm unsure :/...See MorePLEASE HELP ME OUT - Above sink OR undermount sink??
Comments (68)I put a lot of thought into what kind of sink to install ino my new kitchen: single vs double, stainless steel vs other materials, dish drainer or not, and finally undermount vs top mount. I went safe and chose industrial grade steinless steel, double sink without a drainer but with aditional part with multi purpose. I was very indecisive about the last thing: undermount vs top mount sink and finally decided after reading this - I will go top mount....See MoreWould you go black?
Comments (3)To answer your first question- about black tops and sink/tap colour. Too much black- black sinks are modern and edgey, not provincial style. I'd go with a white butler sink (or maybe copper butler sink??). Same answer again for tapware- too much black. Check out Astra Walker range of tapware- really wide range of finishes. I've just installed a tuscan bronze tap. It's gorgeous....love, love, love! Regarding different bench tops between kitchen and butler pantry. I think this is up to you. I guess I'd consider the amount of light in the pantry, and if no window, probably try and keep it as light as possible....See MoreBlack or White Bifold Doors and Servery Window
Comments (5)I you are changing from stacker to bi fold doors you should ensure that there is a single door included within one of the bi folds, preferably next to the kitchen. I wonder why you are deciding between white or black windows and doors for this room when you already have white elsewhere. What colour are the internal and external walls....See MoreJ
