Hi Aleta1, youre getting down to the nitty gritty of Interior Design now. Choosing the perfect colour involves addressing many issues...size of your windows, orientation of the house, height of ceilings, size of rooms, purpose for room to name a few. If you have the time I recommend getting a sample pot of full and half strength and try it in a couple of corners of each room. That way you can see how the colour looks at different angles. Go with your gut Tracy..... it is a big investment but I have found that if it makes you smile every time you walk into your kitchen you'll never regret it!!!! I've recently moved into a smaller downsized home with my 3rd black kitchen, with drawers, no cupboards, except for the pantry which we use as the crockery and wine glasses stash. Mine is matt but no handles = no hip bangers! I chose to use snow white stone bench tops, the walls are painted natural white while the floors are pale oak hybrid vinyl.

Hi Kathrynmc1 sorry it has taken me a couple of days to reply. My kitchen cabinetry measures 2.9m x 4m the island is 2,9m x 950. It all works a treat I enjoy easy access to my laundry which has heaps draws and above bench cabinetry, this is a great place to keep my party platters & bowls ect. I left space for the fridge so as it was in close to the kitchen door it’s perfect. Space in my kitchen was paramount to my design. I have miele under bench side by side washer & dryer. Miele dryers have a condensation tank to trap the moisture.. so moisture in the laundry is never a problem. They are well worth the added expense.

without extending my suggestions would be to use the old family room and laundry as a new kitchen and having the entry to bed 3 through the front hallway keeps three bedrooms grouped with the bathroom.. although there's no obvious location for an ensuite my suggestions allows the old second bathroom to be more private and i would also consider sacrificing the front porch for a drive through carport and upgrade the old garage to a rumpus room ... long term if you were to consider an extension i would add a new master suite, kitchen and family room and use bed 4 and the old laundry family room and study as mps and the sunroom for an entry but probably better to alter the sunroom roof and/or use a link to an extension
