looking for a ribbon wall clock

My living room has a large round column towards one end of it. I was thinking of using it for some kind of decor, and it occured to me that it would be great to have a flat digital display clock that is thin, flat, flexible and wraps around the column. I think such a thing, a thin LCD or LED display clock hugging the column near its top would look so cool. Can't find such a thing despite extensive searches. Is this concept a possibility? Does such a thing exist, or are there custom makers for such a thing?

Do you mean it would look like a gigantic digital watch that would be worn on the wrist? But instead of the wrist, it's the column?

Yes, but simply displaying the time (and maybe date) in a linear one line display. obviously not in the same orientation as what you would wear on your wrist.

Hi, your home looks pretty good, you have done a lot on the interiors. Coming back to the question, yes, you can add a wallpaper behind the television, go for a textured wallpaper as it will create a compliment to your television. As you have decorated with wooden elements, you can go with a bookshelf on the wall. And, there is one more thing which will be a simple addition but will look perfect and that is an antique wall clock. An antique wall clock will make your wall look great without any fuss.

It may be as simple as the clock being the wrong colour. If it was a dark colour like the bench tops it would "fill" the space a lot better. Hard on those "in between" walls to not clutter but liven up. Other option could be to move the clock to the left towards the curtains and then place a piece of artwork/photo wall in the remaining area. With the clock in the centre you can't work much around it. Some floating shelves could work also.

After seeing your before/after photos in your [kitchen thread[(https://www.houzz.com.au/discussions/kitchen-reno-ideas-suggestions-please-dsvw-vd~3651370?n=11) I thought I'd bump this thread. I have a better idea of the whole space now. Have you had any more ideas of what to do? I think by cladding the whole surround and wall above could have big impact and modernise so it ties in with your new kitchen. Also give some balance as it sits alongside the glossy black bench. If you like the warm of timber, you could clad running the wood horizontally. This final photo is cataloged as a transitional look but same idea with cladding all the way up. ETA: That artwork would look great on a dark grey backdrop.

Thanks Lizzy, we will be putting in a narrow shelving unit on the right hand side and intend to get an 8 seater dining table (probably with black chairs) which will helpful up the space! We previously had a large shelving unit on the left but it made the entrance feel too cramped as it's not a very large room, given we have kitchen/dining/lounge in one. I tend to agree with others that the art needs to be much larger, or if its smaller I need to group them. Wish me luck!!! I'm not very decisive so it may take me a while!!

Got it! I think there may be a commercial digital clock like this. It may not be slim enough to give you a sleek look, but if it worked then you or someone would make something that looks like a watchstrap. Or you don't want it to be that literal?

Appears they just came out with this: Flexible Wall Clock. Just $4000, but there will probably be knock-offs.

yes, I had seen that flexible wall clock. That's more of a freakish item I think. I'm thinking of something much smaller. Perhaps 5 inches wide or so. And not like an apple watch. No actual watch with a face and bands on its side. More like a strip, like a ticker strip, just stating the time. Pretty simple in concept.
