If you can configure your laundry so that you dryer is on top of your washing machine and open a doorway between the laundry and bathroom (in the wall between where your shower and toilet current is) using a sliding door you'd be able to close off the current doorway for the bathroom and then add a bath along where the doorway and shower is, keep your laundry separate for user ease and avoid moving plumbing (which is expensive). That way you can have a shower over the bath and have both a bath and shower option in that bathroom. My best advice is to go and get some grid paper and drawer your bathroom to scale taking into account the size of all the features you require to make sure that they fit (cut samples out to scale and you can play with arranging things. Remember too that standard doors take up more space within the rooms then sliding (either external or pocket) doors and moving plumbing is expensive so if it's a short term deal before major renos take place avoid it.

We ended up sealing our slab with a product that was recommended by our local decorative concrete supplies store. However, long story short, we have been sold a product that is failing. We need to try to remove the product and start again. Our friend, who also has a burnished concrete slab and has sealed it with another product, his floor is looking beautiful, the sealer is holding up the the rigors of family life and he is very happy. I should have used the same stuff as him, in hindsight ;-/

You didn't mention your spectacular honey-coloured plywood ceiling which is a beautiful feature. I think that stained timber skirtings and architraves will detract from your ceiling, especially as they will be a different timber, colour and look to your ceiling. You have white walls, you have white windows, why would you introduce a contrasting timber element in the form of an architrave? The only answer is to paint the skirtings and architraves in the same colour as your wall, so that they "disappear". The concrete floor, the timber ceiling and the raked ceiling have enough visual interest and you don't need any more. Best of luck, Dr Retro of Dr Retro House Calls
