Creative ideas needed for a luxury bedroom makeover
Comments (77)Hi Houzzers You have all been so kind with your design advice, and helped us come up with this design. I think we are nearly there, and are pretty happy with the result...we still ended up with the door into bedroom from hall....but think it will be ok.....may swing the door the other way...will put doors on bathroom and sitting(not shown) I like the 2 dressing areas we have created either side of our wardrobes, and the seperate toilet. Very happy for any other input on this design before we send it off to the builder!...See MoreCreative ideas needed to reconfigure/extend
Comments (21)i mean the structure of the floor ie a concrete slab on the ground or a timber framed floor with crawl space underneath not the decorative surface of timber or slate or tiles and please post a site plan showing the "extra master in line with pool" with dimensions and distances from boundaries, pool and back of house and how do you use that space and does it include a bathroom? and extending into the front porch may be less cost effective than extending into a new space at the rear but will test some ideas for you but what you are suggesting isn't what i would expect to be able to achieve on a tight budget...See MoreCreative ideas for a hole left by Old wall air conditioning unit ?
Comments (6)You'd be way , way better to put up a couple of pictures , and whether you are wanting to 'hide' the interior view or exterior . Most people would need to know the style and colours of your place -- as dreamer and julie say , you can use leadlights , shelves , plants , art , wood , maybe something like a porthole or a fake wall or a waterfall or a big slab of concrete painted pink may suit ?...See Moresmall butler's Pantry/walk in pantry
Comments (15)Thanks @dreamer. I took your advice because it makes sense (I'll post a photo of our new plan) I think it's lovely that you and your husband still do dishes together, I quite enjoy doing the dishes actually, but not when my toddler is stuck on my leg. Dishwasher will probably used when we have guests over. It's actually my husband who was sold on the idea of butler's pantry but I couldn't justify it and see the point that's why I posted on here to hopefully see from other's perspective so thank you. We are a young family so always taking the kids into consideration when planning the house. We also entertain a lot, Filipino buffet style, so an island will be perfect! I sew a lot and need a big space for cutting fabric as well that's also why we wanted to keep the island without the sink. We plan to put a barn door as pantry door but we might do that later on after we have moved in and see how it goes or we might even leave it without a door but we will make sure they put in extra support in those walls for possible barn door. We abandoned the idea of window inside the pantry because I figured it will let a lot of sunlight especially it's facing north east and not good for food storage obviously. The only dilemma I have now is whereto place our microwave and deep shelving solutions for the pantry but we're pretty happy with this now. Thank you all...See MoreVy
