We've ended up choosing Yokor Windows & Doors. They're a Chinese import company with very high quality product. A builder friend of mine recommend him who used them in his own house. We are yet to order though. They were about 8k cheaper than The other company we were tossing up between. The only issue i don't like their flyscreen product so we'll get that from someone else.

They look like steel doors but after a quick Google search nothing came up in Qld, only Melbourne and Sydney. I guess you'd already done this too hence your question. You could always order from interstate or maybe use aluminium instead. Maybe try a local heritage architect as they may have a local contact.

Me me - The screened area was erected by previous owner and it has proved more useful than if there were only a screen on the front door- to keep unknown visitors at a distance from the front door, to sit or dry washing in with some weather protection and without insects, to drop wet things further from the front door, and blowing rain only gets through to a few inches of floor inside the screen but hits the dining room window sill. All gas ducted heating units have minimum setback requirements to other surfaces. This setback depends on the model and which side of the unit. So it maybe 500mm clearance at one end, and only 300mm at the other. They are usually found in the installation manual for the unit.
