I like printed glass, yes I do, but most of what we are show is pretty naf, sorry to sound like a slone ranger, I investigated the product, I had a few different areas I could have used it in this current build, with good design choice (possible) and reasonable price not possible the quotes where all a joke. I have defaulted to either depending on ,thought ,placement, nothing ,or tile, Its a bit like my wood stove hearth,I wanted glass to show the Tasoak floor beneath, I was various laughed and accused of bringing European habits (sounded dirty) I solved the issue but if you live in the pimple on the bottom of the world, design is not an option, costs get too high, availability is a joke, I feel like offering up my rather posh shed (and accent) to companies who want to try the Tassie Market (for a modest fee of course) we are five mins to the airport and I have a background in Finance and design (weird) combo, but I studied art the market was to tight so I turned to banking for my crust.

I think she may have been referring to what is called a "French Pattern" which looks like a random mixture of square and rectangle tiles, often in travertine. However while it looks random it is actually carefully planned, and the tiles are made to a consistent thickness. It also depends on the type of tile that you are using. Many traditionally hand-made ceramic tiles have a natural variation, which adds to their appeal and visual interest. Other types of tiles, such as your porcelains are much squarer, flatter and almost identical. I would suggest that you go with your your choice of grid pattern, as laying a random pattern has too many risks (plus your tiler will hate you and charge lots extra). Be very careful about the selection of your tiles depending on your preference for a rustic more organic look, or a hard-edged architectural look. Make sure that the surface that you are tiling to has been properly prepared and is flat, smooth and true, as your tiler will not be able to correct imperfections if you have a bad wall. Thanks for the input! do you think that subway or 6x6 tiles would be better in the shower? Im not sure why but i was thinking that the 6x6 might be more consistent with the style of the basin. Dark blue or light blue for the accent tile in niche? Its a VERY small bathroom which was why I was leaning towards white floor. Trying to make it feel bigger. But maybe thats an error. This is the floor tile that I was considering. Too busy? I have to admit I like the dark blue tile of the last photo that Dreamer posted alot but was worried that a dark color would not work in a small space.
