What splashback??
Comments (22)I like the idea of mirror as well, but it is glass and can cost around $900 to install professionally. A stainless still splash back for your cook top and acrylic sides can be more cost effective too. Another glass solutions is a picture of a unique stone, unique artwork or forest view that we can add to splash back glass, this would be a great visual as the position of your glass is so direct. This would also distract attention from above and your windows, it would be the wow factor of your kitchen, not that it needs to stand out it can also be subtle. Masters does offer this service but you need to request it from their kitchen specialist, it is a third of the price of real stone and slightly more expensive than glass. This is an great kitchen, it deserves a great splash back. Kind regards Marina...See MoreLooking for kitchen splashback or tile ideas
Comments (10)Cherry Pop - great looking tiles, however your decsion to use them as splashback will depend on their size and the height of the available area to tile. With such a strong pattern you don't want to trim a tile to fit the height. The ideal solution would be to install the window so that the distance between the underside of the window architrave, near the bottom of the window, and the installed benchtop is exactly one tile in height. This will need some careful measurement and juggling of trades to get it perfect. Or you could change your pool tile to be less of a feature such as this simple, white, square, contemporary mosaic. As it is smaller, and has no pattern then it doesn't matter if a row needs to be trimmed to fit in the available wall space. Comments (46)We had a guy who printed posters print the photo and stick it on the glass for us (to make sure there were no air bubbles). He delivered it to the glazier who was installing the splashback. There was so much interest as it sat in the showroom, the glazier then started offering glass with pictures actually printed onto them... If your wall was smooth, you could put the 'poster' print onto ther wall as another option....See MoreShould I replace bench top and splashback?
Comments (10)It looks pleasant enough , and personally I'd keep the benchtop as I like the warmth of the wood -- a bit of age and wear adds to the character IMO . I wouldn't glue anything over tiles -- I'd chisel and sand and get a decent base , as I'd be worried moisture , bacteria , food waste would somehow get into the grout and gaps etc , even if you put skirtings around the edges . Mind you , I prefer tiles , be they square or subway or modern with metallics , they seem more interesting than a coloured piece of glass ( splashback ) , even if tiles are potentially more work . Maybe I'd just update my tiles , but I'll want and see your new photos ....See MoreHU-9254349
