I think the colour used on these cabinets is great. This is a colour which is unlikely to unsettle anyone who sees it and is teamed with very neutral walls and furnishings. This room looks modern, with a little retro or Scandinavian twist.I believe that if you really love a particular colour, why not use it as a colour block on cabinets. Just keep the main elements in the room neutral and the accent colours to a minimum, like the orange accent used here.

Mine has a sink, dishwasher, and pull out wastebins. All good. What I should have done was insist on more cutlery drawers and some pot drawers instead of under bench cupboards. Not a fan of underbench microwaves so didnt ask for one.

Go with your gut Tracy..... it is a big investment but I have found that if it makes you smile every time you walk into your kitchen you'll never regret it!!!! I've recently moved into a smaller downsized home with my 3rd black kitchen, with drawers, no cupboards, except for the pantry which we use as the crockery and wine glasses stash. Mine is matt but no handles = no hip bangers! I chose to use snow white stone bench tops, the walls are painted natural white while the floors are pale oak hybrid vinyl.

Thanks Kate, I was getting rid of the curved wall in kitchen- creating a straight wall (hoping to shove a vacuum cupboard in the space created. The bottle holder doesn't hold enough - so I was thinking of getting rid of it for larger cupboards and making the island wider - cupboards on the other side. I don't think there is enough pantry, even if I use drawers for some items and am concerned about how the pantry doors will open in the space. We have an eight-seater dining table in dining area but the family space is a bit odd as it has double doors to outside living/pool. Thank you so much for taking the time to look at this.
