Need help with uneven window placement
Comments (6)@kiwi08, Very early days into the building, FIXIT, don't do this or that to make it work if you don't like it!!! For goodness sake, don't put up this when it's easy to change. Get floor to ceiling winows or take them out all together, after all if you're putting a tv there you don't need windows either side and I don't think you will be sitting on a window seat on either side of your tv. Do a book case if need be and have no windows , but change it and be happy. Cheers, Barbara...See Moreliving room lights help needed!
Comments (12)How tall are your ceilings? They look way too low for a ceiling rose! Those chandelier things are a bit off, aren;t they?? If the house is actually modern, I think it would be better in the long run to get rid of that ceiling rose all together. It is hard to tell from the photos, but am assuming that the other lights are over the kitchen and dining area? With the ceiling fan added to the equation, you would definitely be better off replacing with LED downlights. Get a professional lighting person from Beacon in to show you the best positioning so that you get it right first time. A couple of options on the links you posted would work with your style (ie. plain round glass or a simple white dome), but be careful with options using those decorative "Edison" style filament globes, they only emit 25watts, so not bright enough for task lighting. Comments (3)If it's a rental be a bit careful about adding holes to the wall. When hanging pictures of any kind don't go too high - around eye level usually works best. For easily moveable and inexpensive ideas think about: using a wide piece of fabric hung using a piece of dowl at each end to create wall art that you can change out quickly and easily. large seagrass matting to cover the floors. look for décor items that are will pick up the current theme and move with you - places like Tree of Life (if you're in Sydney) offer carved boxes for tables. Look at second hand carved teak blanket boxes (more storage and pretty) Think about batik style cushions in blues and greens to add a beachy feel....See MoreDinning Lighting...... I need help
Comments (14)Its funny talking about pendants when its near an airconditioning outlet because that airflow will move the light and give a really wild effect moving in the breeze. The best effect would be as suggested wall lights Dimmable and aimed upwards to use the ceiling as a reflector and giving a lovely ambiance to the room in the corner where the Dyson is put a floor lamp something people will look at and , not even notice the duct in the roof, trick the eyes from going up, it will become invisible eventually...See More- 8 years agolast modified: 8 years ago
