None of them – too busy, too contrived and really the 'art' feels dismissed and unimportant (and I suspect that that is probably the case – if it were important to you because of beauty or sentiment or genuine interest it wouldn't be relegated to an over-busy wall just to complete some grid or slightly random pattern). I have a lot of paintings, drawings, etchings and photographs around my house but each one is there because it has meaning and adds to my life and aesthetic pleasure. When they have to share a wall I spend time ensuring that each is still able to be seen, appreciated and respected in its own right.

Hi Linda, you've chosen the right colours to create a lovely restful space for your bedroom: the blue/green spectrum is the most calming. > If the wall that you would look it when propped up in bed is available, that's the wall to place your new artwork on - where you can easily admire it. > Artwork is a very personal choice but, to maintain a gender neutral (!) and meditative theme, you might like to take a look at our aura collection. Hi MaxCC, Your 'artwork' is called a wall niche. As far as I know, they were originally used to display religious icons, such as The Virgin Mary. I'm not religious but I do admit that I have a special love for wall niches. I have used them twice in homes that I've built as a place to display my 'Lamplighter' Lladro, so that he is on display to guest. The niches were always placed just inside the front entrance as yours is. Sadly I don't have any photos to show you, as we have just moved house and everything is still in storage. My suggestion, to help you with how to display the object that you will put into your niche, would be to keep the wall itself neutral but paint the niche in a metallic paint. Your want the object on display to be the item of greatest interest and the metallic paint [Resene have some wonderful colours to chose from] will help to draw your eye to that space.
