It's never too late to transform it, but the prices right now a quite high I would say. Not only for the houses, but for the construction materials as well, they rise in price dramatically in the last few months. I would recommend you to wait for the prices to drop and then go for it, sooner or later it will happen anyway. What happened to that beautiful timber floor! Its a nice kitchen but I can't see any 'traditional charm'. It just seems to be a well built modern kitchen you could find in any modern home. It doesn't relate back to the old church. Only my opinion of course.

Thanks Kate. It would be cheaper to knock down in most cases but in this case we had to build on the original footprint because of the conservation area which created so many restrictions. The Council even made an issue of the flower garden at the front because of the slight change in the soil level!
