Step one set a budget as that will dictate what can be achieved Step two decide on whether its greenery, opaque or arty. Step three match budget to style and mix in time and you will know what you are going to achieve. Let's start with opaque. The quickest solution. Get your windows tinted with opaque film. Stops the view but let's in the light. If it's greenery then think huge pots full of creepers like jasmine or ivy or clumping bamboo. Screen off the air con unit, attach screen to the fence, place pots strategically and wait a couple of years. If it's arty, paint the fence white, red or yellow, invest in some trompe Leol concepts or hang outdoor sculptures. Arty needs a lot of planning but is great to reflect your style

Have seen many vanities butted up against walls on all 3 sides and 2 sides as well as the usual wall below a mirror. No idea of operation of drawer/etc. until one was seen in the flesh. Depends on hinges, etc., what its being installed near, etc. Basin top taps are probably easiest to install. They also generally use a stop cock to turn water on or off (for maintenance & the like) underneath the vanity with the basin top taps. More aesthetics than anything else really.

Some good advice above. Centering a single, large artwork over your couch and adding tall lamps / greenery in the corner is the way to go. But there are no rules with art, and a piece that spans the full width of your sofa, especially in your space, will work much better than one that doesn't. The artwork itself is a very personal choice, but look for a piece that augments your scheme. Ours can be colour customised as you wish - this one could be a good starting point if it resonates with you

Lots of good ideas here. If you do have a carpet remnant overstitched along edges, be sure to specify the thread is to MATCH the colour of carpet. I know this sounds like a no-brainer, BUT we had long and wide carpet runners made up, colour was dark brown. When we unrolled them, low and behold the overstivhers had used WHITE thread. We were stupefied. Who knew one must specify the obvious! Anyway, hubby had a brilliant idea: he used black magic marker and carefully coloured over the white. You would never know it had ever been anything but!
