Comments (23)Hi again Oklouise, I contacted support and apparently there can be only 10 photos per discussion. I deleted most of my photos, to try and add more, but no joy. Here is the link to a photo of the shower rail in in the shower space. I am not keen on towels hanging near toilets, and when I saw this picture, I thought it was ideal - no tip toeing across the bathroom floor to reach for the towel: http://www.housetohome.co.uk/bathroom/picture/neutral-stone-tiled-shower-room?room_style=modern. Here's another pic showing the clean lines of the frameless glass shower, I think the glass loses some of that simplicity if it has to sit on top of a framed bath (have to scroll along to bathroom pic): http://www.insideout.com.au/home-style/clean-contemporary/home-tour-a-modern-beachside-holiday-home?ret=/home-style/clean-contemporary/take-a-peek-inside-this-elegant-coastal-escape If we didn't go with the full length vanity, but a 1500mm vanity there would be more room for the freestanding bath, a bit like this picture (sorry its only half a picture):https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/61/aa/74/61aa748fc15686d04bba77016d4fd1db.jpg Your suggestion for the IT nook is interesting. I like the idea of having more wall space in the Master Bedroom... The IT nook already has had the velux opening skylight installed in the roof (just needs to be fitted out at the ceiling). The idea of the IT nook, was a personal study for me. It was to replace the original study which did open directly into the kitchen/family room. I found it was a little too open, for when I had confidential documents spread out on my desk... The idea was to make the study 'less' accessible (not to family members, but overly familiar guests, at times..) In saying that, I quite like the look of your one, it has an element of separation with the hall.... I am going to consider changing it. I am liking your 'thinking outside the box', I'm curious, are you an interiors architect?...See MorePlease help with layout for Master WIR & Ensuite
Comments (27)the shower room is about 2700 long and wet shower floor about 1500 so dry standing space should be about 1200 and towel rail about 2.5m away from the shower head so heated towel rail shouldn't be a problem ...the sliding glass door is meant to enclose all the moisture within the shower room and to be kept away from all the other rooms while still allowing light from the skylight to be shared with the adjoining rooms by retaining the slope in the existing ceilings and adding a ventilating skylight directly above the shower and adding fixed panes of glass in the wall between the shower space and the other small rooms and having just the 2200- 2400 tall partition behind the bed and between the ens and wiw...the wardrobes could still have the storage built up to 2400 and the dust can just stay where it lands and sparkle in all that lovely light...sadly, i have two perfectly sized Velux roof windows awaiting a new home but transport costs could far outweigh the cost of buying local but i've occasionaly seen them offered on Gumtree etc so start looking...See MoreHelp with interior paint colour choice please
Comments (5)I would keep the paint as it is , at least initially , but like you and Larkspur Lane Design say , concentrate on the accessories and bring in some colour that way . Just one thing -- Linkspur mentioned cushions -- you didn't . I assume the couch is staying , its practical but it needs lifting , so pick your ( or the consensus ) favourite colour , and have fun with cushions -- say 4 or 5 bright yellow ones , and 4 or 5 yellow and white chevron ones ; or purple or green or red or burgundy or . . . . . . . heaps of them , some in solid , some in stripes or 2 tone or polka dot or chevron . The larger wall ( lounge and dining areas ) I'd wallpaper in something in the similar tones as your cushions , toned down a bit ( or contrasting ) . Basically , a feature wall , with a large $200 clock and maybe a couple of small black and white prints . Some art ( I like abstract ) -- a large one on one of the other lounge walls . Maybe a rug too -- subtle or bright , just not clashing . Then you could really double down . 'This end' of the servery I'd do in your chosen yellow or burgundy or whatever , and re-tile the kitchen in similar toned tiles -- the white 'splashback' ones do absolutely nothing style or colourwise IMO . Right now , the plants are the brightest points -- I love plants , but when they are the most noticable thing , that's a worry . Work with the white , beige and grey ( and the plants ) , but use colour to lift everything ....See Morebath room wall and floor tile colour choice advice
Comments (4)If you click on a Houzz photo, and then tap on More, you will see the company/pro attached to the project. You can then contact them for specific tile names. Otherwise if it more general info re tile type or pattern layout, then something like Google can help with that....See More- 8 years ago
