Yes, it is harder to keep clean but it is better to conceal stains than a light one. Try not to have anything too shiny as shiny and dark is not the best combo. Try to get some larger samples and wipe with a wet cloth to test even if you do this in the kitchen shop.
But in the end you also need to have what you like.
My motherinlaw has a very large kitchen with black shiny ceasarstone with a small (maybe glass) fleck though it. It is around 12 years old now and still looks great. She uses of course a granite spray and a non scratchy cloth to wipe it. Dont let that stop you from getting what you like!
My shiny black granite benchtop is easier to clean than others in the past. I use a clean dishcloth, and wash it under the tap regularly while cleaning. The real secret is to follow the wet cleaning with wiping off with a clean tea towel. The granite benchtop and splash back around the stove gets a gentle multi-purpose cleaner first, allowing a minute or two to soften the grime, despite my installer's advice to use 'just water.'
