Advice needed:Dining area & curtains in sunroom
Comments (36)You have very nice chairs! Take the rug out, remove the two end chairs, paint the table white like the color in the wallpaper, move one chair to desk, add a mirror on the wallpaper wall to break up the wall and add depth to the room (white or deep gray frame) and use you budget and add new pillows to the couch with more grays and whites....See MoreNeed colour advice!
Comments (2)oklouise has identified some good points to consider. I think this room could be treated in two possible ways. Painting the walls and beams white and go for a scandinavian cabin in the woods vibe. if you don't use the fire it could make a head board as due to the windows there isn't a lot of good space for a bed. accessorise with blues and greys - and a whitewashed timber desk. A collection of vintage glass vessels would look good on the mantle piece and a vintage mirror above the fireplace. Alternately you could continue with what the room is already suggesting as an american style country lodge. You could introduce an aged tan leather sofa or chairs. Introduce a rug and woollen tartan cushions. You may not need to paint the walls as the wood look would work. The windows can be kept stained in a warm wood tone. Linen or linen look curtains would work well in either scenario. You could search these styles further in Houzz and consider the style of the rest of your home. All the best...See MoreAdvice needed for small bathroom
Comments (36)@siriuskey: we love the finish and we are happy for the experience and documented some things we would do differently next time we do a bathroom. You are right, next up is the kitchen. Project managing the bathroom ourselves has helped us save a bit of money that I am parting with by handing over the kitchen design to a good kitchen renovation company. Less decisions to make for us. Renovations are hard work, but nice feeling when we get to the other end of the tunnel :D...See MoreNeed advice on budget bathroom makeover
Comments (9)It's up to you with what you decide to do as a stop gap, I just thought it might be worth while trying paint on the walls first to see how it feels and save the cost of painting the bath and tiles and putting that towards a complete redo We have beige fittings in our ensuite and having cracked the WC we had to replace it with a new White suite from Bunnings, it's a lovely modern suite that covers and fits all the existing plumbing I think it cost $150 which husband fitted. I think that you already have a newish white vanity which will work with your new suite. Black beige and white are great mates and perhaps add something timber via a blind above the bath, can't see what your window is like, cheers...See MoreNiche Interiors
