Outdoor designers opinions wanted

I have an odd shaped block. Where I have decided to build, I now have my yard to the east side of the house. The sliding doors from the kitchen/living area are placed half way between the two down pipes (DP) indicated on the plan. I dont want to build patio forward of the first down pipe as this would cover a bedroom window.

I would like to build a patio, for outdoor dining and BBQ. Cant decide on a pool +/- spa (minimum 1 metre clearance required from the block line). Any suggestions from anyone?? Particularly those that have built on a triangle like this??

please show floorplan of house including direction of north and any special views from inside

Apologies but I cant get the north marking in the picture, but it is essentially the front of the house (bottom of the image). The views I wish to access is the floor to ceiling kitchen window and the rebate sliding doors from kitchen/living to the outside. As suggested previously I am aiming to keep any building away from the window of bed 3.

For the car port I would keep it simple and open. Use a skillion colorbond roof attached to the house and timber support posts. Do you want to continue with the Tuscan theme? If so I think either go a whitish colour or a darker charcoal colour for the windows and doors. If you intend to paint the exterior walls then you open a whole other world! The front fence would look amazing out of sandstone if that is in your budget, otherwise what about a stackable stone finish which you could glue into a Hebel wall?

Think of your backyard like a house without walls of ceilings and designate spaces according to the way you will use them - particularly if you think about doing an outdoor kitchen (bbq, fridge w/bar and sink) and this way you run power to that one area and it becomes like an extra room. Your cooking and eating areas should be close by to make it practical for entertaining. If you're also going thinking of a firepit, you could also put in built-in seating around it. Your pool, as it'll need to be fenced should be separate and it's perfectly fine to have it on the other side (remember how many times as a kid you got told to wait an hour after eating to get back in the pool - having them right beside each other you're just begging to be harassed by the kids). I'd be tempted to have the firepit between the other two areas with landscaped seating - to keep drinks cold while your using that space you could also go with LED drinks cooler that will give an edgy look. Whatever you end up doing, I'm sure it'll look beautiful.

Oh my husband can do this for me so its no issue, but I wouldn't be asking him for design advice (what would look better). while he's great with his hands he's The first to say he has no idea about design. It's more from a design perspective.... Should I go black horizontal panels, a pattern, vertical etc

my rough plan shows approx space available and could include the whole area or any combination of sections to be paved, decked and roofed...furniture is placed to give an idea of space available but perhaps the smallest triangle of space could be screened off from the deck as a utility or clothesline area? the sq m sizes should allow you to work out very rough costs for paving, decking and roof but precise site measurements are always necessary..i've shown the proper set back from the fences but the set back is only necessary for roofed structures and paving should extend up to the fence or any garden borders
