Bar stools....

I had already chosen my bar stools where I wanted to add a touch of retro, and add a feature.. by having red barstools with a chrome base, which will match my pendant lighting in the kitchen.
Now I'm thinking I should get either white stools with chroome legs... or white leather bar stools with wooden legs to match my caesarstone island bench. All photos as shiwn, including my kitchen. Where can I find a warehouse in Melbourne who sell a huge range of barstools rather than order online?
Please help..☺

Agree grey fabric not so practical for both the above reasons. The white ones look fine and the timber could tie in with your table and bench. But a colour could be good too. Could tie it in with accessories in your kitchen? Artwork? Depends if you're after a more sophisticated, neutral-type colour scheme, or perhaps something with a bit more character/fun. Cheaper stools that will withstand little kid treatment are ideal, and you can always update and change the look if they get wrecked and you want a more grown-up look down the track. Fabulous-looking kitchen by the way :) Enjoy your new home.

Dreamer I don’t have dining chairs just yet. Just a black dining table so far. I’m pretty sold on the black rattan stools so I think i’ll go with those. Thanks for the help everyone! 🙂

Good luck with your bar stool selection. I completely agree with your choice to buy from a shop rather than online. I've included a photo of 2 white stools I purchased (if they suit the look you're after). A word of warning - after seeing them in someone's kitchen photo from Houzz, I bought them online. Both stools arrived badly packaged with dents & scratches on the wooden backs & both had faulty gas cylinders so seats wouldn't go up. A refund was granted months later after PayPal investigated but I had to pay to return them (cheapest freight was twice what the stools cost). Now I will always buy from a shop!

I would wait until you move in and the job is finished before you decide. Your island does not look that big, and wonder whether you will actually use them. We have couple of stools, and they only get used to put hing on such as hand bags.
