Without seeing the space in question, you could always consider getting them custom-made. For e.g. your local woodworkers association should be able to design and build some open hardwood storage boxes, which you could then have lined by a professional dressmaker, or yourself, if skilled in that area. I have a Meile heat pump condenser dryer, it is really efficient to run and I have no moisture in the air and only a very small amount of heat. I chose one with a drainage tube so I never need to empty the liquid out. This is great. I wish they had self cleaning filters though. There are 3 to clean. 2 after each use and 1 about once a month. I use my dryer every day.

It gets too humid where I live and so the dryer probably gets used more than I would prefer. Every new laundry should have a space for a clothes dryer so what you have done looks spot on. At ground level you can easily transfer from the washing machine to the dryer. In smaller laundries with less wall then stack them as you still need space for a sink. I don't think stacking looks as smart if its a property for sale, however space efficiency is key, so it really depends on what how you want the space to function. Having bench space is also important for sorting and general working.

thankyou - I don't need more counter space to be honest and the new bench will be 900 deep. No its all laundry with heaps of storage - its always bothered me that its such a large room but the laundry doesn't seem to be in proportion to the room.
