the condensor dryers that don't need extra ventilation are too heavy to hang on the wall and that may be the reason for them being placed on the floor

I chose to stack my old fashioned dryer recently to allow me to have more floor level storage for washing hampers and heavy items I store in laundry like sewing machine and vac.

We have an old dryer (25 yrs) that really only gets used in emergencies (Mum, have you washed my work uniform lol!) or periods of extended rain (hasn't happened for a few years). It is in our garage so the laundry doesn't get steamed up and also isolates the noise. Once we upgrade, it will require a laundry upgrade as well so will be a very expensive dryer!

It gets too humid where I live and so the dryer probably gets used more than I would prefer.

Every new laundry should have a space for a clothes dryer so what you have done looks spot on. At ground level you can easily transfer from the washing machine to the dryer.

In smaller laundries with less wall then stack them as you still need space for a sink.

I don't think stacking looks as smart if its a property for sale, however space efficiency is key, so it really depends on what how you want the space to function. Having bench space is also important for sorting and general working.

Dryers can look imposing on the wall and I would prefer mine on the floor. Currently have one hung on the wall as there is no where else to put it, it is too high and I find it difficult to get clothes out.

Prefer on the floor... what we have currently and will continue to do once do laundry reno. In a previous house I had dryer on the wall and as a shorter person it was awkward to use.

I am just in the process of updating our laundry, slightly different situation but exactly how I plan to set it up starting with sink, washer, dryer and pull out dirty linen cabinet.

We don't use our dryer unless it's during solar power usage time, but have recently installed a retractable clothes line that has proved a boon. love your laundry makeover
