Steam Oven?
Comments (19)I also think that VZug combi steam XSL should be fine mounting under bench. In 2012/2013 catalogue, a larger oven combair steam S and other have an installation sketch for under bench location. I couldn't find any of VZug installation instruction online. Knowing that VZug produces combi steam oven for Wolf, there is a Wolf installation guide that you can down load here: Wolf CSO installation guide. There is no sketch for under bench installation. On the other hand, there is no explicit requirement saying that it cannot be installed under bench either....See MoreOvens!!!
Comments (4)After selling ovens for 10 years, I received a lot of hands on training and feedback from customers. Which is why I would strongly advise against Westinghouse ovens. F&P is a step up, but Bosch is a jump up! I personally would buy Miele, for ease of use, ease of cleaning, cooking performance, aesthetics and the best quality. However, if the budget won't allow for Miele, Bosch is the go. You can't argue with German quality. For extra cooking capacity, consider a 70cm wide oven or a double wall oven or 2 x 60cm ovens. Just make sure you are sure you really do need it before spending the extra money. By using the functions properly and cooking on multiple shelves at the same time, you can easily cook for a crowd in a 60cm oven. With a decent oven you can even cook various dishes with various flavours, at the same time. I have done it on many many occasions....See MoreWhich 90cm oven????
Comments (3)I have recently replaced my Fisher & Paykel Underbench oven with a Miele pyrolytic under bench oven and I could not be happier with it. It was not inexpensive, but given that I expect it to have a decent life and, like you, I use it most days, I think it is great value of money. It has a good range of functions that have not just let me, but encouraged me to try new things (and throw out other machines i.e. the bread maker). The self -clean function is an absolute blessing and makes clean up actually bearable! Could not recommend more highly....See Moredouble oven vs single oven?
Comments (28)Thank you all for your timely responses. I too have always enjoyed the convenience of my two ovens which can be used independently of each other, which is why I am seriously considering the 1.5 double oven option. I have also researched the idea of two compact ovens which include microwave and steam options, (Bosch, Miele, Smeg AEG etc) and was all excited about that idea, but to install two of these is far too expensive. ($5000+ minimum) The freestanding convection microwave options all stipulate minimum 10-20cm airflow at the top of the unit, and the ones that do come with trim kits still all end up being too large for the space...frustratingly, often by only 2 or 3 cm! And yes, I've also lusted after an induction cooktop, but the expense of chasing wiring down a solid brick wall and disrupting backsplash tiling has put the kybosh on that idea. Anyhow, I have slept on this (again!) and have come to the conclusion that a 1.5 oven without an integrated microwave is the only way available at a reasonable cost.... A small microwave inside a cupboard might just work.... It's both interesting and noteworthy that convection/microwave +/- steam, with regular multifunction oven combinations although expensive, are readily available in several brands in the US......I'm jealous!...See MoreUser
