Colorbond Trimwall (Surfmist) Exterior Help Please!!
Comments (0)External underside Colorbond Trimwall (Surfmist) to be installed but need to decide on exterior paint colour for the house to complement the cladding in the Dulux range. I find Dulux Surfmist darker than I originally thought. To me, Surfmist paint seems to have quite a green/yellow tone to it, where I am after more of a white. Could anyone please recommend a paint colour that either matches the cladding or complements it? Thank you for any suggestions....See MoreSurfmist exterior paint - Please Help!
Comments (1)Hi HU- I was wondering if you had resolved your issue from 3 years ago? We are looking at Surfmist for our exterior weatherboards too. I think maybe because the roff is on metal and very reflective it would look a lot lighter than on the boards? Did you perhaps go lighter( say half) surfmist?...See MoreExterior re-vamp/modernise help please
Comments (16)In the second pic , the house next door ( to your right ) looks to have a dark roof and trim , so that partially answers your query about the heat -- just ask them ! Having said that , your main roof looks to be darkish , the one above the garage doors that horrid 80's green , and the gutters a fetching pink ? So like most , I'd try and get as many things dark as possible -- roof , gutters , uprights , etc . In fact , if budget allows , I'd consider changing the front doors -- they are pleasant enough , and let in light , but I'd like double solid doors -- I'd go Bright Red to make it a focal point , avert the eyes , and it will work with the bricks ; but I suspect most people would go a charcoal or Japanese Black or similar . And you say about modernising the look , but I think that unless you render or paint all the bricks ( I'm personally not a fan of either ) you will always have those bricks , so anything else is just playing around the edges . For example , you could spend $2k upwards to change the wrought iron railing on that upstairs terrace ( I'm not even sure if it can be seen easily from the street ? ) , and go modern dark smoked glass , but everyone will still see those bricks ....See MoreHelp!!! Comments (10)If I’m reading the plans right, it’s a rendered exterior with some weatherboard cladding neat front door. If you pop over to Pintrest and search “acreage exterior” you’ll see a sample of inspiration pics. If you find something you like, post it here and we can help find the colours....See Moresiriuskey
