Comments (2)I'd firstly like to say that the quality of workmanship and detail in the above project is excellent. However I don't understand why TV's are placed above fireplaces other than if there is absolutely no other option. The general consensus is that TV's should be somewhere around eye level when seated for best viewing. Of course television for a lot of people is not the primary consideration when designing a room layout. Comments (2)Thank you for your advice. It will be a big open living kitchen area with charcoal brown carpet living area and a light grey white large tile kitchen area. We are having a family dining table made from the same timber as mantel with stylish black legs. The fire place is the center piece of the room with two large windows on either side, to draw you to the fire. I was just worried the mantle may appear too high. Comments (7)how far is it to the corner to the left of the heater..can you hang a TV on that wall? but i don't think this type of flue was intended to be enclosed but check directly with the manufacturer for specific installation instruction for this heater to avoid any fire risk..the alternative could be to move the fire to a more convenient space or invest in a new heater and maybe if you post house plans with dimensions we can suggest an alternatiove location...See MoreAdvice for Fireplace with TV Placement in Living Room
