I would go with white plantation shutters - keeps your architectural look/lines. You can also select the shutters to have two parts in one panel also for the ones down the bottom - so half way have one part (of one so its not two different ones) you can shut completely and the top part you can adjust to still see but with complete privacy in the bottom (you could have in the morning when lying in bed), or you open and shut them around the same amount. I did that in my hall way so that I can completely close the bottom half but the top part of the same shutter I can open slightly for the light etc etc but still have privacy. Shutters give you so many possibilities for privacy, lighting etc depending on the person.

With tilt and turn windows I can only think of two options, either face mounted shutters to the actual window, which the fabricator might offer, or a rod hung on the face of wall above the window opening, to avoid the window catching on them. A track sheer or drape will work aesthetically, but practically?? Presuming when the windows open, so too would the curtain, it only matters at the end of day when you want to close up and have privacy, so perhaps a holland blind (pull down) so it's least conspicuous.

Some simple ideas such a dual roller blinds have already been referenced. You’ll have to meet with a consultant to see how two fabrics pair, especially if you’re considering one being light filtering. You can also mix treatments such as a dark roller blind recess fit to the window, and a light roman blind fit over the architrave which will give you a soft fabric finish.
