HI there, can I ask - is the room quite foreshortened in these photos? the two pendant lights suggest the room might have once had a dining area. Our front living room was extended in the 70s and an extra pendant was put in, but I thought it looked quite odd, so have moved wiring to one central fitting. If you did go for a central fitting instead, you could make a bit more of a statement. the last pendant shown above looks lovely - obviously you would need something that throws a lot of light both to the ceiling and the room. Regarding fabric for a sofa (are you going for a modular so that you don't have to negotiate so many furnishings? I think this room would look very classy with a caramel/coffee textured weave linen fabric (a little like the aforementioned pendant shade!). I have used that sort of colour/feel with many living areas featuring a lot of dark timber. Have fun doing up your space! :)

We are renovating the interior of our common property apartment building. There is not a great deal of natural light, so we are painting the walls Casper White. We need some contemporary lighting that will modernise the building. The lights are on all day and night, so LED is probably preferred? The floors are all the same We are in Bondi, NSW We have two buildings - There are 2 floors in Building One and 5 floors in Building 2, so a total of 7 floors. GROUND FLOOR: FIRST FLOOR:

The second look like they are designed for stairwells so I'd be a bit wary about using them up higher as the light might be a bit "spotlight" and not diffuse enough. I think both styles work with your house design

We have down lights in the under cover area but not sure where to put wall lights to light the fireplace area and the opposite will be a bbq/outdoor kitchen. And do we need them on the most anterior walls as well? (study and master bed)
