Thank you Tilda :) So we have an artist called Geoff Winckle, he paints beautiful landscapes and has some pieces which have an alpine feel. I have have attached one called 'Afternoon Snowscape'. I think the warm tones in this piece would complement the cooler tone it sounds like you have chosen for your walls. I've also included 'Sunset over Rocks-Mt Wellington, Tasmania' by Jacqui Cleijne. As far as deer go I have attached a piece called 'The Messanger' by our new featured artist Jason Moad.

I think your biggest problem is the paintwork, particularly as it seems quite dark in the space anyway. If you sell the furniture & replace it you will run at a loss, so I would put that money into repainting instead. Go for a much lighter colour, like Dulux Natural White. Beige & pale blue absolutely work together, & when the beige is on the floor only it will be far less of an impact, it's actually quite a neutral flooring to work with, and certainly a 'beige' floorboard will lends itself well to a Scandinavian look. Also you really want to mazximise the light in the space to achieve a Scandi look so the whiter walls will help this too. If you search "beige and blue" on Houzz I would be surprised if there weren't countless schemes incorporating these colours. Good luck :)

JL - your are all over the place with your thoughts on colour and it is impossible to really make a valid comment without knowing more about your apartment, like the size, the age, the amount of light and the existing finishes. Paint companies like Dulux have about 4800 colours, so the subtleties and nuances of the colours available go well beyond brown, blue and pink. I would suggest that you engage either an interior designer for a one-off colour consultation, or a Dulux Colour Consultation. Somebody will visit your apartment and give you accurate advice based on the existing conditions, such as the natural light and existing finishes. If hubby hasn't purchased the brown leather sofa yet it is time to get some photos and make some decisions as it will be an important factor in your colour selections. Mask windows -- 1 hour . Load 20 litres of white paint into spray painter -- 10 minutes . Paint everything white -- 3 hours . Done . Yes , I know , it has been updated , and I do like the dark charcoal kitchen cupboard doors with gold handles -- it has an art deco nod to it , but the rest is underwelming in its design and execution IMO .
