Help for exterior colour scheme
Comments (6)Dark grey roof. You could keep the windows neutral which would be subtle and clean but you could also accent them if you wanted them to stand out more and match the rod colour... Another option you could consider is dark roof and a lighter shade of grey for the window frames... I have attached a few quick photos sorry I've done this from my phone so not the best.. Comments (4)Yes go monument!and if you go for some lime acacias out the front (tall weeping or the low bush)it would brighten up you whole look.Also adding strappy green plants that bulk up would give it a bit more of a clean look. If you don't want to go monument on roof go a light grey and tie in with a couple of tall light grey planters on either side of your door. Pleas please please!find someone with a jigsaw and cut the tops off your pickets to give a cleaner look before you paint them. I'm stating the obvious but those security screens are pretty overwhelming,can you just have them on windows that can be opened,it might not look so busy out the front....See MoreColour scheme help

5 years agoJL - your are all over the place with your thoughts on colour and it is impossible to really make a valid comment without knowing more about your apartment, like the size, the age, the amount of light and the existing finishes.
Paint companies like Dulux have about 4800 colours, so the subtleties and nuances of the colours available go well beyond brown, blue and pink.
I would suggest that you engage either an interior designer for a one-off colour consultation, or a Dulux Colour Consultation. Somebody will visit your apartment and give you accurate advice based on the existing conditions, such as the natural light and existing finishes. If hubby hasn't purchased the brown leather sofa yet it is time to get some photos and make some decisions as it will be an important factor in your colour selections.
With paint and painters being so expensive a consultation for a couple of hours will mean that you can move forward with confidence with your colours, and end up with an apartment where the colours are perfect for your family and lifestyle.
