Since you are handy you could make something like this ,if you want to safe time then get a screen and place it behind the bed,this one you can change at anytime and use it if you ever need some sort of privacy or other decor ,here is one idea and I will find the other ones . I've just come from a showing where an old timber house was lifted with downstairs built in modern with all polished concrete. They also had a concrete kitchen bench but kept upstairs traditional with VJ board walls and ceiling and carpeted floors. In my opinion is did not work, was a confusing mix of industrial with traditional. It almost felt cheap as if the builder couldn't be bothered to spend more on timber floors or even tile - even though the polished concrete could very well have cost more. I think dark timber is definitely your best option as it will blend better with the cornices and skirtings. Hope that helps.

I feel that it would be pity to paint an antique Would you consider etching a floral or geometric pattern on the mirror? That would add some white to the cupboard without spoiling something with its own character & patina of age It would be easier to replace the mirror than remove the paint at a later date All the pieces you have chosen are lovely & should sit well together Good luck with the birth of your baby

I would like to add wainscoting to my hallway, staircase & possibly dining area. i dont feel confident cutting angles etc for making rectangular wall frames. I’m on a budget & would like to know if anyone knows are there wall frame panels in a set that I could purchase? If so, where from? suggestions welcomed.
